Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An immediate opening is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility in San Diego, CA. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule, with a commitment of 13 weeks and potential for temp-to-hire opportunity. The position requires overseeing all pharmacy operations and serving as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and strategic direction for pharmacy services Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards Manage pharmacy personnel and resources effectively Oversee medication distribution, safety, and inventory control Serve as PIC, maintaining accountability for site pharmacy operations Utilize RX Connect IT system proficiently for workflow and documentation
Qualifications:
Active California Pharmacist license is mandatory Demonstrated experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California Strong leadership and organizational skills Familiarity with LTAC pharmacy operations preferred
Schedule:
Monday to Friday Day shifts This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise in a specialized healthcare setting while supporting patient care continuity. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, with the possibility to convert to permanent status based on performance and mutual agreement.
