Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy overseeing a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital in San Diego, CA. This contract position offers the chance to manage pharmacy operations and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at the site, ensuring compliance and quality pharmaceutical care.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday Day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive oversight of pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and effective medication use Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, maintaining regulatory compliance and operational standards Collaborate with clinical teams and hospital leadership to optimize patient care Utilize RX Connect pharmacy IT system for management and documentation
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active California Pharmacist License Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy in California, preferably within a hospital or LTAC setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee pharmacy staff and processes Knowledge of regulatory requirements and pharmacy best practices in California This contract role is set for a minimum of 13 weeks with an immediate start and potential for temp-to-hire transition. It offers a focused professional role in a specialized hospital environment with weekday daytime hours.
