Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. This role involves full oversight of the pharmacy department and serving as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site.

Contract (13 weeks+) with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule:
Monday through Friday Day shifts
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership of the pharmacy department Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards Oversee medication distribution, safety, and inventory management Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Manage pharmacy staff and workflow for efficient service delivery Utilize RX Connect IT system for pharmacy operations and documentation
Qualifications:
Active California pharmacist license required Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare facilities Strong leadership skills and knowledge of regulatory requirements for long-term care hospitals Ability to manage staff and pharmacy operations effectively Familiarity with RX Connect or similar pharmacy IT systems preferred This assignment provides the opportunity to lead a critical department in a supportive healthcare environment. The role is contract-based with a duration of 13 weeks, and there is potential for transition to permanent employment.
