The Director of Pharmacy will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President. Primary Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital's clinical, quality, and financial goals Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management Lead, develop, and hold accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws Oversee pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiatives Collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives Drive innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy services Schedule:
This position is scheduled to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday 8am to 4pm. Longer hours may be required as business necessitates. About the Facility:
Summit Oaks Hospital, a private psychiatric and chemical dependency center has been serving the Northeast Region since 1902. The facility includes a 126-bed hospital and an outpatient counseling center that serves children, adolescents, and adults. Summit Oaks is licensed by the state of New Jersey and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO). You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
Active New Jersey Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to acquire
2+ years of pharmacy management experience
Management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
