Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A specialty pharmacy is seeking two Pharmacy Technicians for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the Boca Raton, FL area, focused on serving a sensitive patient population. This role is based in an
AIDS/HIV
specialty retail pharmacy setting, requiring compassionate and respectful professionals dedicated to high-quality patient care.
Location:
Boca Raton, FL (with work in Oakland Park/Ft. Lauderdale area) Flexible to work
Saturdays Schedule:
Monday to
Friday:
8:30 AM - 5:30
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Pharmacy hours of operation with a need for flexibility
Responsibilities:
Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties including data entry and dispensing medications Provide empathetic support and communication for patients dealing with
HIV/AIDS
Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers Exhibit proactive pharmacy intuition by identifying and addressing daily operational needs Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of high-volume retail pharmacy technician experience required Experience with
HIV/AIDS
medications is essential and must be highlighted in the resume Florida Pharmacy Technician license required PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software preferred; training available for software savvy candidates Strong teamwork skills and clear communication capabilities This contract-to-hire role offers the opportunity to contribute to a respected specialty pharmacy team, providing a supportive environment for patients and staff alike.
