Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity is tailored for experienced pharmacy technicians seeking to work in a specialized retail environment focused on
AIDS/HIV
care. The role requires professionalism, respect, and a compassionate approach to serving a sensitive patient population.
Location:
Hollywood, FL area (Ft. Lauderdale vicinity) Contract position, initially 13 weeks with potential to convert to permanent
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Saturday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Flexibility to work Saturdays is essential
Key Responsibilities:
Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties including data entry and dispensing Support patients with sensitivity and respect in the
AIDS/HIV
specialty pharmacy setting Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare providers Utilize pharmacy intuition to proactively address operational needs and assist team members Operate pharmacy software (QS1); training available for those with strong technical skills
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification highly desirable but not mandatory Experience or familiarity with HIV/AIDS-related medications must be explicitly stated on the resume Strong teamwork and communication skills Commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance Positive, proactive attitude toward daily responsibilities Additional Requirements for
