Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Join a dynamic pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician supporting prescription processing and medication management in a busy retail/mail order environment. This 13-week contract position is based in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and fill prescriptions accurately, including insurance adjudication and resolving rejections Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification and subsequent shipping Handle data entry and manage prescription paperwork while communicating effectively with patients and prescribers Maintain inventory accuracy via daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes ensuring regulatory compliance Cross-train to support various pharmacy functions and departmental needs Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to maintain compliance and confidentiality
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required PTCB certification and valid Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience; some call center background preferred Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills Excellent communication abilities with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams This temp/contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced pharmacy setting while honing your technical and customer service skills.
