Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing pharmacy staff and operations supporting clinical research studies involving investigational products. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, proper handling and accountability of study medications, staff training, quality oversight, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.RESPONSIBILITIES
Review pharmacy manuals and study documentation for new and ongoing trials. Identify updates or changes and train applicable staff. Maintain accurate documentation and training records. Upload and manage pharmacy documentation in designated systems. Develop and maintain reference materials and job aids. Assist with development and review of study blinding plans. Perform routine quality control checks for emergency medications and equipment. Identify and coordinate replacement of expired or unstable medications. Maintain organized investigational drug storage and accurate inventory logs. Ensure pharmacy staffing coverage supports operational needs. Supervise staff performance and address pharmacy-related issues in a timely manner. Support monitoring visits, audits, study start-ups, and close-out activities. Conduct routine staff check-ins and support workflow improvements.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management. Understanding clinical research and regulatory requirements. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate across teams.MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATES
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field. Five (5) years of experience in a pharmacy, medical, or research environment. Two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred. GCP training or equivalent.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and manual dexterity required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work performed in a clinical environment with potential exposure to biohazardous materials. Any and all duties are subject to change based on organizational needs.Pay:
$26.00 - $42.50 per hourBenefits:
