Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and deliver exceptional patient care. Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment focused on safety, accuracy, and patient satisfaction. Duties Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA compliance and safety standards Oversee patient medication therapy management, including medication reviews, patient assessments, and counseling Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens and support medical management plans Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high standards of patient service and operational efficiency Implement and utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription processing, inventory management, and electronic health records (EHR) Conduct clinical activities such as immunizations, medication administration education, IV infusion preparation, aseptic technique procedures, and compounding medications Lead efforts in inventory management to ensure medication availability while minimizing waste and loss Facilitate training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, pain management protocols, and emergency procedures like IV insertion Maintain accurate documentation for patient care activities within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and ensure compliance with privacy laws Experience Proven experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy settings or hospital environments with a focus on acute care or critical care units Prior pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience demonstrating advanced patient care skills Demonstrated expertise in pediatric pharmacotherapy and understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to diverse patient populations Experience in immunizations administration and aseptic techniques for sterile compounding Strong background in medical management strategies including pain management protocols and medication safety practices Familiarity with pharmacy software platforms, EMR/EHR systems, and inventory control tools Previous leadership roles managing pharmacy teams or supervising technicians in fast-paced healthcare settings Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality and data security at all times Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert pharmaceutical care!
