Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Per Diem A retail pharmacy needs a qualified staff pharmacist for per diem coverage in a well-managed pharmacy located in Keokuk, IA. The role provides an excellent opportunity to support a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with 340B pharmacy management and contribute to quality patient care within a community setting. This position offers a full week of coverage with traveler candidates already pre-approved.
Location:
Keokuk, Iowa - located in the southeastern corner of the state on the river, bordering Illinois.
Schedule:
Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 29 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (includes a 1-hour lunch)
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive retail pharmacy services including dispensing and counseling Manage daily operations including opening and closing procedures Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow to ensure efficient service Work within the Datascan by WinPharm system for prescription processing and inventory management Collaborate with pharmacy support staff to facilitate smooth operations and patient care Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards, including 340B program guidelines where applicable
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active Iowa pharmacist license required Experience in retail or community pharmacy settings Proven ability to manage opening and closing shifts and supervise technicians Prior exposure to 340B program highly preferred but not mandatory Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with pharmacy team members This is a per diem role providing a chance to work with a dedicated team supported by robust pharmacy technician assistance.
