Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Direct Hire A retail pharmacy position is available for a dedicated Pharmacist in Sterling, Illinois. This permanent role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing consistent hours and a balanced workweek in a retail setting.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluating, preparing, and accurately dispensing medications in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Performing medication reconciliation when possible to support a seamless continuum of patient care after discharge. Providing exceptional customer service while delivering clinical care. Consulting with patients about their prescribed medications, discussing dosage, administration frequency, special considerations, and potential drug interactions. Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications: Hold a valid Illinois Pharmacist license. Have at least one year of experience as a Pharmacist. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers. Maintain thorough knowledge of medication therapies and regulatory guidelines.
