Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations at a new behavioral health facility in Illinois. This role involves establishing pharmacy services from the ground up, ensuring efficient and compliant medication management in a specialized inpatient behavioral setting.
Location:
Peoria, Illinois Job Type:
Contract (starting May 25th through July; end date may vary)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM On-call coverage after each shift Possible weekend on-call duties
Key Responsibilities:
Lead pharmacy setup and operations at a newly opened behavioral health hospital Manage order entry via HCS system, with provided training Oversee Omnicell automation stocking and utilization Approve medication orders and participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) meetings Serve as the sole pharmacy leadership on site with no technician support Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Illinois pharmacist license required Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience, preferably behavioral health Familiarity with HCS and Omnicell systems is preferred; training will be provided Strong leadership and organizational skills to build pharmacy operations in a start-up environment
