Job Description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Director of Pharmacy to lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team within a dynamic pharmacy setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end prescription journey, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating on strategic initiatives to drive operational efficiency and align with long-term business goals. Key Responsibilities Manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of Staff Pharmacists, Technicians, and support staff. Design and implement high-efficiency staffing models and workflows to meet high-volume demands without compromising quality. Maintain a continuous state of readiness for FDA, DEA, and State Board inspections, acting as the expert on USP , , and . Build and maintain a robust SOP framework, implementing Lean/Six Sigma-style improvements to both physical layout and digital systems. Collaborate with the Executive Team and Compliance Committee to align operational output with long-term business goals. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution. Active Kansas Pharmacist License (or eligibility to obtain immediately). 5+ years in pharmacy management, ideally in a high-growth or high-throughput setting. A compliance-forward leader who thrives on creating order out of complexity. Experience in 503A or 503B compounding environments is preferred. Familiarity with GLP-1, HRT, or functional medicine is advantageous. Lean Six Sigma certification or sterile compounding certification (BCSCP) is a plus. Experience 5+ years in pharmacy management, ideally in a high-growth or high-throughput setting. Additional Requirements Mon-Fri (standard business hours) Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
