  • Fulfillment is a full time days opportunity with limited rotating weekends and located at our Southlake campus in Lenexa, Kansas.
Our Retail Pharmacy team is dedicated to providing excellent customer service for our patients. Pharmacy technicians are the face of our pharmacy services. Our Pharmacy Technicians with our fulfillment team play a vital role in ensuring our patient's medications are received in a timely manner. Our Pharmacy Technicians focus on filling, utilizing the medication robot and shipping to ensure accurate delivery of patient's medications. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Prepares medications for dispensing: Applies expert knowledge of calculations and uses safety protocols to ensure precise, efficient, and reliable filling of prescriptions.
Distributes medications and stock items:
Applies expert knowledge of dispensing and point of sale workflows, and uses safety protocols to ensure precise, efficient, and reliable dispensing of prescriptions.
Maintains Pharmacy Inventory:
Accurately adjusts inventory discrepancies for non-controlled medications and escalates appropriately. Ensures rotation of medications and supplies to minimize waste.
Operates pharmacy computer systems:
Independently inputs a wide range of prescriptions with accuracy. Assists with basic troubleshooting of pharmacy automation and technology. Uses system tools to verify information, process medications, and resolve routine insurance rejections, as needed.
Compliance and recordkeeping:
Demonstrates knowledge of applicable regulatory and quality standards and escalates appropriately. Accurately maintains required logs and records.
Patient Care:
Communicates effectively with patients, caregivers, and staff to resolve routine service concerns. Provides accurate information about pharmacy processes while escalating clinical inquiries to a pharmacist.
Medication Safety:
Consistently applies safety protocols, recognizes and reports potential medication errors, and collaborates with pharmacists and leaders to correct issues. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and Experience High School Graduate or GED. 2 or more years experience as a pharmacy technician in a comparable setting Required Licensure and Certification Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri
  • per work state upon Hire Technician must maintain certification on an ongoing basis and complete all continuing education requirements. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification. Preferred Licensure and Certification Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT-Adv)
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
