08/hr Type of Position Temporary Position Time Status On Call Required Education BS Pharmacy or Pharm D Required Related Experience 0 yrs. Required License/Registration/Certification Licensed or eligible for license as a Pharmacist in Kentucky. Must be licensed in the State of KY on day one of employment and maintained in good standing throughout time in position. Physical Requirements May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Shift NOTE —this posting is for an as needed (non-benefitted) pharmacist position in the Hazard/Hindman locations for UKHC Retail Pharmacies. Primarily covering shifts as needed including shifts at any of the Hazard(North Fork Valley) and Hindman (June Buchanan) UKHC retail pharmacy locations. Must be available to work during operating hours of the location. Operating hours, schedule and shifts needed are subject to change based on location and scheduling needs of assignment area. Job Summary Provide patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written orders from physicians. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and ensures that drug interactions are considered. Manage inventory and technician staff to provide excellent customer service.

/ Abilities Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate and be understood in the English language. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Ambulatory/Retail Pharmacy Experience preferred. PharmD or BS from College of Pharmacy with eligibility to be licensed in KY.
