Role:
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager, Hematology/Oncology to lead pharmacy operations within a specialized oncology program. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical and operational pharmacy services, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting medication safety initiatives, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily operations of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy. Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff. Ensure safe and effective preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of oncology and hematology medications. Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Oversee medication inventory, utilization, budgeting, and operational performance. Implement quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs. Support staff training, competency development, and performance management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program. Active Pharmacist license (or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts). Completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency AND one of the following: PGY-2 Pharmacy Specialty Residency (Oncology preferred), OR PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership (HSPAL) Residency, OR Equivalent advanced residency training and leadership experience. Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience with significant Hematology/Oncology exposure. Previous pharmacy leadership or management experience. Strong knowledge of oncology treatment protocols, chemotherapy management, and medication safety practices.
Pay:
$160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
