In this vital role, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and deliver exceptional patient care. Your leadership will drive the pharmacy's success by fostering a collaborative environment, managing medication dispensing processes, and implementing clinical services that enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient service. Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and with precision and adherence to safety standards. Manage inventory levels, including medication stock, supplies, and controlled substances, ensuring proper storage and documentation. Implement clinical pharmacy programs such as immunizations, pain management protocols, and patient assessments to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, hospital policies, and federal/state pharmacy laws across all operations. Utilize pharmacy software systems for accurate record-keeping, medication management, and patient documentation. Collaborate with medical teams to support acute care initiatives, critical care protocols, pediatrics, and LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy services. Provide training and mentorship to staff on pharmacy best practices, medical terminology, physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, and medication administration techniques. Requirements Valid pharmacist license with active registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in LTC pharmacy or hospital settings with strong clinical pharmacy background. Critical care experience preferred; additional expertise in pediatrics or acute care is highly valued. Demonstrated proficiency with pharmacy software systems, inventory management tools, and medical management platforms. Hands-on experience with compounding medications, procedures. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, immunizations administration, pain management strategies, and medication safety protocols. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards. Excellent patient service skills along with the ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments. Prior experience managing pharmacy operations within hospital or retail environments is preferred; pharmacy technician supervision experience is a plus.
