Job Description

Pharmacy Manager Overview Correct Rx is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations at the Holyoke Soldiers Home in Massachusetts. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, clinical and operational excellence, staff development, and medication safety initiatives in a highly collaborative healthcare environment. The Pharmacy Manager will work closely with facility leadership and the Correct Rx management team to ensure exceptional patient care, operational efficiency, and full compliance with all state, federal, accreditation, and contractual requirements. Essential Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Board of Pharmacy, regulatory, accreditation, USP 795/797/800, and contractual standards
  • Lead and support pharmacy staff through training, competency development, scheduling, and performance management
  • Participate in facility committees, leadership meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage pharmacy purchasing, inventory control, medication storage, and controlled substance accountability
  • Support medication safety programs, audits, corrective action plans, and continuous quality improvement efforts
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure operational and patient care needs are consistently met
  • Utilize pharmacy technology systems and operational analytics to support efficiency and financial stewardship
  • Maintain a professional presence and strong communication with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and development of pharmacy personnel
  • Perform staff pharmacist duties as needed to support operational continuity Qualifications
  • Active Pharmacist license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in good standing, or eligibility to obtain licensure within an agreed upon timeframe
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Previous pharmacy management, Director of Pharmacy, or healthcare leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication safety, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Preferred Experience
  • Long-term care, institutional, behavioral health, correctional, or hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience with pharmacy operations assessments, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
