Position Summary Reporting to the Executive Director, Finance, Pharmacy FP&A, this role will be responsible for leading a small team to provide financial and strategic support for CVS Retail Pharmacy. The role is responsible for partnering both within Finance and with teams within Retail Pharmacy to drive improvement in FP&A processes supporting Retail Pharmacy. The Lead Director will work in close collaboration with Lead Directors, Executive Directors, and Vice Presidents across PCW Finance, providing support and partnership to drive leadership decision-making and execution. The Lead Director is responsible for developing and delivering FP&A insights to senior leadership, including preparing executive‑level materials, leading financial discussions, and translating complex analyses into clear, actionable narratives. This role will lead process improvement and system implementation projects that enhance financial planning and analysis for Retail Pharmacy. Additionally, the role partners with Retail Payer Relations to ensure appropriate financial controls for PBM/Payer deals being negotiated and accurate reflection of those contracts in financial Budget, Forecast, and Actual results. The role will directly interface with the VP of Payer Relations along with the team of AVPs and Payer Relations Directors. The role has ownership and is accountable for financial reporting, planning, and analysis of the Retail Pharmacy business Responsibilities Identify areas of improvement in FP&A processes supporting Retail Pharmacy. Develop solutions and lead projects to implement process or system enhancements Support payer relations underwriting and negotiating team as cost of goods sold expert Develop and maintain control functions for the CVS CostVantage generic cost file (GCF) to ensure accuracy of published quarterly files to be distributed to contracted payers. Own the attestation process with the third-party vendor playing a critical role between the business and vendor ensuring timely completion of the quarterly attestation Partner with leaders across Retail Pharmacy on business initiatives or strategic projects, acting as a financial partner to evaluate their financial impact. Examples include store formats, product sourcing channel optimization, assessment of regulatory changes, etc Support core FP&A processes for Retail Pharmacy gross margin. Examples include sizing variance drivers of actual results, identifying key variables in margin forecast/budget Cultivate relationships with key internal partners across functional areas including but not limited to Payer Relations, Pharmacy Growth, Enterprise Analytics, and Merchandising Required Qualifications The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company's business, as well as interaction with business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes 10+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Strong analytical skills. Ability and willingness to dig deep into work product to assess areas for improvement and identify areas of weakness/opportunity; understand what the data are telling and can explain it to stakeholders Ability to inform and influence leadership through impactful, insightful analytical-based presentations Become trusted advisor to Senior Leadership Strong analytical knowledge base and financial acumen, with proven ability to vision, strategize, and develop actionable tactics against key facts and data insights. Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to successfully balance business priorities and maintain a sense of urgency. Ability to solve problems, identify, and remove roadblocks, triage, and prioritize issues. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Deep understanding of the pharmacy economics and key levers that drive profitability in retail pharmacy and other CVS Health Segments; understands the links and connections between functional areas and business units and applies that knowledge to drive solutions

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
