Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A retail pharmacist opportunity is available at a busy outpatient location in Glen Burnie, MD, covering an upcoming leave of absence. This contract role offers a dynamic environment where your expertise will support pharmacy operations, patient care, and technician management on a flexible schedule.
Location:
Glen Burnie, MD (Main site: Belair-Edison Family Health Center)
Schedule:
Day shifts, Monday through Saturday Per diem 1-2 days per week as needed Start dates available: September 23, October 14, or October 28
Responsibilities:
Manage typical outpatient pharmacy duties, including supervising pharmacy technicians Provide patient counseling and administer vaccine/immunizations Adapt to a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting with attention to detail and quality service Utilize ScriptPro software (training provided) Support compliance with 340B program guidelines (preferred) Spanish language skills are a strong plus, enhancing patient communication
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum two years recent retail pharmacy experience required Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficient in pharmacy operations and patient care tasks Experience with 340B program is desirable Licensed to practice pharmacy in Maryland This contract position is ideal for licensed pharmacists ready to step into a leadership role at a reputable outpatient pharmacy site. The role includes supervising pharmacy technicians, engaging directly with patients, and contributing to a high-functioning team.
