We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Retail Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional pharmaceutical care, ensure the safe and effective use of medications, and support positive patient outcomes through patient-centered care and clinical expertise.Roles and Responsibilities:
Review and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently. Counsel patients regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications, including usage, side effects, and drug interactions. Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans. Monitor patient medication profiles to identify potential drug interactions and contraindications. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards. Oversee daily pharmacy operations including inventory management, medication storage, and workflow efficiency. Supervise pharmacy support staff and ensure high standards of quality and patient safety. Participate in community health initiatives, wellness programs, and medication education activities. Stay updated on advancements in pharmacotherapy, clinical guidelines, and pharmacy best practices.Skills:
Pharmaceutical knowledge Drug interaction management Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and multitasking abilities Retail pharmacy experience preferred. Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and technology preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required. Active Pharmacist License in the state of Michigan required. Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical knowledge and drug interactions required. AL01
