Saint Louis, Missouri Pharmacy Days Full-Time 110953 STL1-E40 $111,633.60 - $181,792.00 / year (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience) Job Description Additional Information About the Role Are you looking to take your oncology practice to the next level? Siteman Pharmacy has an opportunity for a pharmacy supervisor (PIC) at the BJH academic campus. This role will over see pharmacy operations of 8 IV hoods that produces 150-400 sterile preps per day for an 88 chair infusion center, leads a team of 5 RPH and 11 technicians, and plays a critical role of operationalizing specialized therapies across the hematology and oncology spectrum. This supervisor role will be integrated into our Siteman leadership team that includes 7 other pharmacy supervisors, infusion pharmacy manager, IDS manager, specialty pharmacy manager, and our clinical specialist manager. Do you have strong people management skills and cleanroom knowledge but feel overwhelmed by some aspects of clinical oncology? Siteman has a dedicated pharmacy educator that will provide at the elbow support and act as a continuous resource for practice related questions. We also have disease state specific clinical specialists that are able to support any clinical inquiries. Primary goals for this role will be to maintain operational excellence, provide operational support to local pharmacy/nursing/providers, and ensure compliance to all State/Federal/internal standards. Monday - Friday Hours of operation typically from 7:30AM to 7:30PM Overview Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Ensures the prompt and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications according to prescription orders from practitioners authorized by law to prescribe. Instructs, coordinates and monitors the work activities of staff to meet patient and customer needs in accordance with the rules and regulations for pharmacy operations. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Assists with pharmacy operations and integration with other departments. Provides pharmaceutical care appropriate to the needs and age of the patients served. Interprets patient data to identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems and ensures safe and effective drug therapy. Coordinates and reviews the work of Pharmacists, Technicians and Students. Assists in development and enforcement of pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with all hospital policies and governmental regulations May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
