Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services (PIC)
Location :
West Plains, MO Area Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services for an interim assignment at a hospital in the West Plains, MO area. This leadership role will oversee inpatient pharmacy operations, support pharmacy staff, and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) while providing strategic and operational guidance to the department.

Training :
Two weeks of onsite training prior to coverage
Schedule :
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Requirements Active Missouri Pharmacist License in good standing Medication Therapy Services Certification required Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required Leadership or management experience preferred Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred Responsibilities Serve as Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) Provide leadership and oversight for pharmacy operations and staff Create and manage pharmacist and technician schedules Collaborate with pharmacy purchasing staff to address medication supply issues Lead Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings and implement approved initiatives Attend medical staff committee meetings and quality improvement initiatives Facilitate department meetings and daily pharmacy huddles Manage controlled substance ordering processes Oversee payroll and user access for pharmacy automation systems Support pharmacy operations and staffing needs as required Benefits Full medical benefits Comprehensive 401k package Weekly Direct Deposit payments Professional support from our experienced team Opportunity to make an immediate impact within a hospital pharmacy leadership role Credentialing Requirements Site-specific onboarding requirements are pending and will be provided prior to start Additional credentialing requirements may apply Want to learn more about what it is like to work for SMS?
