Job Description

Job Purpose The Executive Vice President of Pharmacy shall supervise the duties relevant to all pharmacy services and operations at all locations and function as a working pharmacist when needed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Executive Vice President of Pharmacy will manage all pharmacy services include audits, contracts, billing, purchases, filling prescriptions, scheduling, counseling, inventory control, coaching, hiring, grants, records management, licensing, training, and any other administrative duties that may occur concerning pharmacy. • Shall serve as a member of the Executive Team Assist the Chief Executive Officer in any other services needed. Qualifications The Executive Vice President of Pharmacy must have a legal and active pharmacist license, controlled substance license, and be in good standing with the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy. At least 5 years of experience working as a pharmacist. Must have a general working knowledge of computer spread sheets and word documents. Be neat and organized with good communication skills both orally and written correspondence. Must also have a valid Mississippi Driver's License and good driving record. Working Conditions The Executive Vice President of Pharmacy will work in the pharmacy during its normal business hours and may be required to work additional hours during inventory, first of the month, audits, or other occasions that warrant additional time and be willing to travel to other locations that the pharmacy serves and to any meetings required by the position. Physical Requirements The Executive Vice President of Pharmacy may be required to stand most of the working day to perform their duties in the pharmacy being able to bend and reach above and below their regular upright position and lift at least 40 pounds.
