Comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, retirement with employer match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave, wellness incentives, and employee discounts What You'll Do as a Pharmacy Director Provide strategic and operational leadership for the WMC Pharmacy department Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance Lead and develop pharmacy staff, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment Partner with pharmacy and system leadership to achieve financial targets and key performance metrics Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance service delivery Support human resource functions including staffing, performance management, and team development Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Promote adherence to UNC Health Appalachian policies, procedures, and standards of behavior Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required Master's Degree in Pharmacy required PharmD preferredExperience:
Minimum of 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience required Prior leadership experience within a pharmacy department required (hospital setting preferred)Licenses/Certifications:
Active Pharmacist license in the State of North Carolina requiredSkills & Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations and leadership practices Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization Ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance outcomes Knowledge of the continuum of care and patient-centered service delivery Commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and accountable work environment Physical & Work Environment Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling ≥ 30 lbs Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching Continuous hand, finger, and wrist dexterity Exposure to healthcare environment hazards including chemicals and equipment Irregular hours may be required, including evenings, weekends, and emergencies What Sets Us ApartLeadership Impact:
