Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Per Diem An opportunity is available for an experienced infusion pharmacist to support a pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC. This per diem contract assignment offers immediate coverage needs with the potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. Candidates with a strong background in home infusion and sterile compounding are highly encouraged to apply. Retail pharmacists will also be considered for contract assignments during the search for an infusion pharmacist.
Location:
Greensboro, NC Schedule/Shift:
Per diem, flexible dates with likely coverage a few days each week
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify medication orders specifically for infusion therapies Oversee the preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications Ensure strict compliance with USP and sterile compounding standards Provide clinical support, drug information, and guidance to pharmacy staff and patients Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain efficient workflow and ensure patient safety Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina, in good standing Recent infusion or home infusion experience is required Strong expertise in sterile compounding techniques Thorough understanding of USP and guidelines Ability to work independently while adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment This position offers a dynamic work setting focused on patient care and safety within infusion pharmacy.
