Job Description

Where You'll Work CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Pharmacy Manager, you will be a strategic leader and clinical authority, orchestrating safe, efficient, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care delivery.

Every day, you will lead and supervise the pharmacy team, meticulously reviewing and authorizing prescriptions for safety (interactions, dosing, allergies). You'll oversee efficient workflow, from authorization to dispensing, and consult with doctors and nurses to troubleshoot medication issues.

To be successful in this role, you will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, proven leadership, and an analytical mind for process optimization. Your commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and patient safety will drive our pharmacy's success. Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of pharmacy operations and shares clinical initiatives responsibility with Clinical Pharmacy Manager if applicable. Educates, mentors, and evaluates pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to develop and improve skills necessary for providing pharmaceutical care. Educates other health care professionals regarding medications to promote optimal patient care via in-services, educational programs, face-to-face interactions, etc. Trains and participates with Disaster Team drills and real-event responses as assigned. Communicates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
