Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A licensed Pharmacist is needed to help launch a new outpatient pharmacy within a growing healthcare organization focused on community health. This role offers an exciting chance to establish pharmacy operations from the ground up in Newark, NJ, serving a diverse and underserved patient population. With plans for additional pharmacy expansions in the region, this role provides long-term career growth and involvement in future pharmacy initiatives.

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday-only candidates may also be considered
Responsibilities:
Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions Provide medication counseling and patient education Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Manage prescription processing, insurance claims, and medication access issues Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and company regulations Support pharmacy workflow, quality initiatives, and patient care programs Foster a positive, patient-centered pharmacy experience
Qualifications:
Active New Jersey Pharmacist License 1-2+ years of experience in community, retail, ambulatory care, or outpatient pharmacy Experience in community health, 340B programs, or underserved patient settings preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as PrimeRx or MicroMerchant considered a plus Strong clinical knowledge, communication abilities, and patient care focus Why This Role?
