Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract An established healthcare organization is launching a new outpatient pharmacy in Newark, NJ, and seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support this exciting community-focused initiative. This full-time, contract-to-hire position offers the rare opportunity to help build a pharmacy from the ground up, serving a diverse patient population with quality pharmaceutical care.
Location:
Newark, NJ Schedule:
Monday through Saturday Day shift hours
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and dispensing duties Accurately enter and maintain patient and prescription records Support inventory management and medication ordering tasks Process insurance claims and resolve related billing questions Deliver excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration or license required Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not mandatory Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred Familiarity with pharmacy management systems such as PrimeRx or MicroMerchant advantageous Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered service Why Consider This Role?
