Director of Pharmacy - Newark, NJ

Schedule and Coverage:

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM plus on-call duties after each shift Weekend coverage on-call only

Key Responsibilities:

Fulfill PIC responsibilities with a minimum of 35 hours per week on-site Oversee medication order entry using HCS and manage site automation through Omnicell Participate in meetings and contribute to scheduling decisions Support data collection efforts for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee Collaborate with a dedicated team including one full-time pharmacy technician and several part-time staff Provide relief for current pharmacy staff and help maintain operational continuity Adhere to professional dress code standards with comfortable, closed-toe shoes required

Qualifications:

Valid New Jersey Pharmacist licensure is mandatory Experience with HCS order entry system Familiarity with Omnicell automation is preferred Background in healthcare systems (HCS) and policy experience Previous leadership experience as a Director of Pharmacy or PIC, especially in behavioral health settings
