Perform market research relating to over-the-counter products and other important aspects & support the president to help determine the potential increase in sales. Finding innovative ways to optimize the level of healthcare while also reducing the pharmacy's costs. Discuss with the president about new technology and new products in the market. If found beneficial to the business, take the decision to bring that technology into the pharmacy to develop the company rapidly. Gather data on competitors and analyze prices, sales, and methods of Marketing and distributors and support the pharmacy department, and president to help determine the products to carry. Schedule a meeting once in a month to discuss the new business strategies and new ideas from all the team members. Implement those strategies and ideas in pharmacy to develop the business in the competitive market. Support the president and pharmacy staff for formulate pricing on over-the-counter merchandise and prescription drugs according to requirements of profitability of store operations. Help the pharmacist and staff members maintain good relationships with the neighborhood community's patients and work according to their needs. Work with the president to authorize the sales promotion activities and direct merchandise display. Create a bi-annual sales promotion activities report for the president to review and establish changes. Find out the new suppliers in the market who can deliver the best quality medications at the best competitive prices in the market. Instruct staff to always interact professionally and courteously with customers. Communicate effectively with customers relating to queries and issues. Ensure all drug recall should be done periodically. Ensure compliance of employees' security, sales and record keeping procedures as per the company policies. Evaluate stock clerks and front desk clerk's performances and create performance review reports for the president. Consistently applying the new ideas and strategies so the pharmacy system runs smoother and more efficiently which can save the time of the pharmacy. Review Medicare patients' eligibility for medications and ordering of medications as per insurance requirements. Negotiating on the phone with suppliers to reduce the price of expensive medications, therefore it reduces the cost of purchase of the company and ultimately it makes a huge difference in the revenue of the company at the end of the year. Support the president in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures that reflect quality, and safe delivery of health care services and provide exceptional customer and guest relations. Develops pharmacy department operating policies and procedures and assures they are enforced and in compliance with state and federal guidelines and standards. Comply with HIPPA and any remaining appropriate government and state regulations and guidelines. Analyze the departmental operational program on a continuing basis and make recommendations to the president for any changes thus ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Assist the pharmacist in business operations involving inventory control, drug utilization review, pricing reconciliation review and assist with network price reporting and monitoring. Schedule employees and delegate work assignments in the pharmacy & front clerks and utilize supplies to maximize the store profits. Coordinate with staff to ensure department compliance with policies, procedures, by-laws, and regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines, medications as per insurance requirements. Coordinate and discuss with team members if they have any complaints regarding the pharmacy software (Prime Rx), computers, internet service, printers, fax, and copy machines, telephone system, and temperature of the store.
