Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire A pharmacy leadership role is open in Ogdensburg, NY, offering an opportunity to oversee the full operations of a retail pharmacy within a vibrant community setting. This position is available as either an interim or permanent placement, with a schedule that supports work-life balance: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM, with Sundays off.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the registered supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Manage pharmacy operations including budget oversight, payroll, third-party administration, staff scheduling, and inventory control to maintain financial health. Lead pharmacy support personnel by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations, and ensure all associates complete necessary company training. Engage in business development within the store and the local community. Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, side effects, and adherence to therapy. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace and comply with all company and legal standards. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety. Maintain continuing education as per state law requirements.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid New York State pharmacist license. Immunization certification and comfort administering all vaccines are required. Prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
