Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an experienced Retail Pharmacy Technician to support a specialty retail pharmacy serving complex patient populations. The role is a contract-to-hire placement based in Dublin, OH, with a focused patient base requiring compassionate, knowledgeable care.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (no weekends)
Duration:
13 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on fit
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and dispense medications for patients managing multiple chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and MS Demonstrate strong patient communication skills, providing clear explanations and compassionate support to patients with low literacy and limited healthcare resources Utilize pharmacy management software, preferably Pioneer Rx (training available for candidates without prior experience) Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure medication safety and adherence for complex regimens Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies while handling specialty medications
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail and specialty pharmacy settings, particularly with patients who have chronic illnesses Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 retail medications and familiarity with specialty drug protocols Ability to effectively communicate with Medicare/Medicaid populations, demonstrating patience and empathy Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred, but not mandatory Active Ohio pharmacy technician license required
