Healthcare / Hospital Pharmacy Leadership Facility Overview This is a full-service community hospital with diverse clinical service lines, including oncology, OB, orthopedics, pediatrics, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, adult behavioral health, endocrinology, podiatry, general surgery, rheumatology, and wound care services. The pharmacy team consists of a pharmacist and technician FTE staff, and the facility is currently in their Joint Commission survey window for fall 2026, making strong compliance and regulatory leadership especially important in this role. Responsibilities Serve as Interim Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services and Pharmacist in Charge Create and manage schedules for pharmacist and technician staff Run the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, including agenda creation, meeting facilitation, and implementation of approved initiatives Attend monthly medical staff committee meetings and COPD readmissions reduction meetings Run monthly department meetings and daily weekday department huddles Order controlled substances twice weekly Manage payroll and Pyxis user access throughout the facility Work with the Buyer to address medication supply chain issues Serve as a resource and support for pharmacy staff questions and concerns during and after hours Manage the Meditech Expanse drug dictionary Potential for limited sterile compounding coverage in the event of staff call-ins Experience Director of Pharmacy or pharmacy management experience required Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required Joint Commission readiness and regulatory compliance experience strongly preferred Meditech Expanse experience preferred; this role manages the drug dictionary Experience managing pharmacy staff, scheduling, budgets, and payroll preferred Skills Strong pharmacy leadership and team development skills Excellent operational and compliance management capabilities Comfortable running P and T Committee meetings and medical staff committee participation Adaptable and confident, stepping into an interim role quickly Effective communicator with physicians nursing and hospital administration Qualifications Active Missouri Pharmacist License required, or willing to obtain prior to start Medication Therapy Services Certification required Soliant offers Licensing Assistance if you are not yet licensed in
