Job Description

The role of the Senior Pharmacy Operations Analyst is to: (1) Maintain 340B Program compliance and ensure adherence to HRSA regulations, hospital policies, and applicable pharmacy regulatory requirements, while serving as a key steward of program integrity and audit readiness. (2) Lead and oversee pharmacy operational processes, including medication charge capture, drug purchasing, inventory controls, and pharmacy distribution workflows, to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and financial performance. (3) Develop and maintain pharmacy reports, dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics to provide visibility into pharmacy operations, financial performance, and 340B Program activity. (4) Lead pharmacy operational analytics, reporting, and performance monitoring to support data-driven decision-making, financial stewardship, and program sustainability. (5) Strengthen pharmacy regulatory compliance, including support for USP , , and operational standards and audit readiness. (6) Provide strategic and operational insights and recommendations to pharmacy leadership through analysis of operational, financial, and utilization data. (7) Serve as a liaison between pharmacy operations, finance, compliance, and informatics to optimize workflows, protect hospital revenue, and improve medication-use systems.
Job Requirements Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy for detailed work. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and other data analysis tools, including the ability to analyze and interpret complex operational and financial data; develop pharmacy reports, dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics; and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to support pharmacy operations, financial stewardship, and decision-making. Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations including medication purchasing, inventory management, medication charge capture, revenue integrity, and regulatory compliance. Strong working knowledge of the 340B Program and applicable HRSA compliance requirements. Ability to analyze pharmacy operational and financial data; identify trends, variances, and risks; and develop actionable recommendations to support operational improvement, compliance, and revenue optimization. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and projects, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate operational, financial, and compliance information to a variety of stakeholders. License/Certification 340B University Certificate Required 340B ACE preferred Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree preferred, with experience in healthcare operations, pharmacy operations, healthcare analytics, reporting, informatics, or financial operations in a healthcare environment preferred. A combination of relevant education, certifications, and extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (e.g., 5+ years of progressive experience in pharmacy operations, healthcare analytics, or related fields). Demonstrated experience leading operational analysis, developing reporting and performance metrics, supporting regulatory compliance initiatives, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve operational and financial performance. •
Knowledge:
This position requires a high degree of specialized knowledge in pharmacy operations, healthcare compliance, and operational analytics. Applies advanced analytical, interpretive, and evaluative skills to monitor pharmacy operational workflows including medication charge capture, purchasing, inventory management, and 340B Program processes. Ability to interpret regulatory requirements including
HRSA 340B
Program guidelines and applicable pharmacy regulatory standards, and to use data to support compliance, operational improvement, and financial stewardship. •
Special Skills/Equipment:
Demonstrated competencies in the use of healthcare information systems, pharmacy data reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel or similar analytical software. Experience with reporting tools, dashboard development, and data analysis tools is preferred, including advanced data querying and analysis (e.g., SQL, Crystal Reports, and data visualization tools). Ability to synthesize operational, financial, and compliance data into actionable reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support process improvement initiatives and leadership decision-making. Experience working with automated medication distribution systems, pharmacy purchasing systems, or healthcare analytics platforms preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
