Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A 503A compounding pharmacy near Kennett Square, Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, quality systems, and personnel management. The ideal candidate will bring strong regulatory knowledge, operational leadership experience, and a proven track record of successfully managing inspections and pharmacy compliance programs. Responsibilities Serve as the legally designated Pharmacist-in-Charge for non-resident state pharmacy licenses as assigned. Act as the primary contact for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies. Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP regulations. Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations and fulfillment activities. Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs. Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production personnel. Review, approve, and oversee batch record creation and execution. Support production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning. Ensure facility readiness for audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews. Qualifications Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge, Pharmacy Manager, or equivalent leadership role. Strong understanding of
USP , USP , USP
, and applicable state and federal regulations. Experience leading regulatory audits and managing pharmacy inspections. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Skills Experience within a 503A compounding environment. Knowledge of quality systems, environmental monitoring, and compliance programs. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a production-focused pharmacy setting. Strong problem-solving and operational management abilities.
