Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire This full-time Director of Pharmacy role is a key leadership position at a specialized critical illness recovery hospital focused on providing world-class inpatient post-ICU care for chronic, critically ill patients. As the pharmacy leader, you will work closely with the CEO and clinical teams to oversee all aspects of the hospital pharmacy's clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial functions.

Direct Hire Responsibilities Prepare all medications and chemicals accurately and safely. Ensure full compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards. Manage the Adverse Drug Reaction Program effectively. Develop and deliver training and educational programs for new pharmacy employees. Engage actively in quality assurance programs focused on drug utilization and effectiveness. Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring to optimize treatment outcomes. Develop at least one clinically oriented program annually (e.g., Pharmacokinetic Dosing, Patient Counseling, Pain Management, Nutritional Support). Foster an environment centered on continuous quality improvement. Provide teaching and counseling to patients and their families. Qualifications Completion of all educational requirements needed for state licensure. Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience within the last 5 years. Maintains current state pharmacy license. BLS certification if required by state.
Preferred:
PharmD or BS Pharmacy plus advanced degree or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency. At least 1 year of managerial experience. Board Certification and/or residency preferred.
