Through the 340B Drug Pricing Program, we help expand access to affordable medications and pharmacy services for underserved communities. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Operational Efficiency Lead to oversee and optimize centralized pharmacy support functions that drive prescription growth, improve patient access, enhance reimbursement, and support operational excellence across all pharmacy locations. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines pharmacy operations, analytics, process improvement, revenue optimization, and team leadership. Overview The Operational Efficiency Lead is responsible for leading the Operational Efficiency Team and developing strategies that improve workflow, increase prescription volume, maximize reimbursement opportunities, and support 340B program success. This individual will work closely with pharmacy leadership, health center partners, pharmacists, technicians, and corporate teams to identify operational opportunities and implement scalable solutions across multiple pharmacy locations. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, collaborative, and passionate about using pharmacy operations to improve patient outcomes and organizational performance. Essential Job Functions 340B Program Optimization Support and monitor operational activities related to the 340B program. Analyze utilization trends and identify opportunities to improve 340B capture rates and patient access. Partner with pharmacy leadership and health center stakeholders to maximize the impact of 340B services. Monitor compliance-related workflows and reporting requirements. Develop operational strategies that support sustainable 340B program growth. Operational Efficiency Leadership Lead and oversee centralized pharmacy support workflows. Ensure timely completion of operational work queues and assigned projects. Develop and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce turnaround times. Monitor team productivity, performance, and service levels. Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development to team members. Revenue Growth & Prescription Expansion Develop initiatives that increase prescription volume across all pharmacy locations. Identify referral growth opportunities through provider engagement and patient outreach. Partner with pharmacy managers to improve patient retention and medication adherence. Support formulary optimization and reimbursement enhancement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve financial performance while maintaining quality patient care. Pharmacy Operations Support Oversee centralized workflows including: Prior authorizations Refill management Patient outreach initiatives Prescription transfer opportunities Reimbursement reviews Claim optimization Patient profile management Referral management Provider-based pharmacy programs Additional operational initiatives as developed Data Analytics & Process Improvement Utilize operational and financial data to identify trends and opportunities. Create reports and dashboards that support leadership decision-making. Develop standardized workflows across all pharmacy locations. Evaluate new technologies and tools that improve operational performance. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a strategic partner to pharmacy managers and corporate leadership. Provide monthly operational and performance reporting. Act as an escalation point for operational issues affecting workflow or revenue. Support the launch of new pharmacy locations, services, and operational initiatives. Assist in building and scaling high-performing operational support teams. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, pharmacy management, healthcare operations, or a related field. Experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Strong understanding of pharmacy billing, reimbursement, and payer processes. Experience leading projects, teams, or operational initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
