Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A leading dermatology pharmacy experiencing rapid growth is seeking a strategic, experienced pharmacy leader to oversee and enhance compliance and operational quality. This role is pivotal in sustaining high standards across multiple locations while supporting continued expansion in a dynamic environment. The primary work location is onsite in Franklin, TN, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, no weekend or on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead compliance readiness for
URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP
795/800, DEA, and state board requirements. Develop and scale SOPs, compliance workflows, tracking, and documentation systems. Conduct mock audits to identify gaps and potential compliance issues proactively. Manage multi-state licensure tracking and maintain operational compliance standards. Create and lead training initiatives focused on compliance for pharmacy staff. Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to enhance operational accountability and quality. Drive consistency, structure, and audit readiness across all pharmacy locations. Support quarterly travel to the Texas pharmacy location as required.
Qualifications:
Active Tennessee Pharmacist license preferred; candidates from diverse backgrounds will be considered. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in pharmacy compliance, accreditation, regulatory oversight, or quality assurance preferred. Strong knowledge of
URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP
795/800, DEA, and relevant state board regulations. Demonstrated ability to build systems, improve processes, and enforce operational accountability. Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong technical skills, including compliance systems and reporting tools.
Location & Schedule:
Primarily onsite in Franklin, TN, with limited remote flexibility post-onboarding. Preference for local candidates; relocation assistance may be available. Remote work flexibility on Wednesdays aligns with administrative team schedules. Quarterly travel to Texas pharmacy location required.
