Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks an experienced Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and oversight in a behavioral health facility. The position involves serving as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and managing pharmacy operations to ensure effective medication use and patient safety.

Contract (approximately 8+ weeks coverage)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday:
9:00 am - 3:00 pm Saturday (remote): 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing pharmacy functions and compliance Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Manage inventory, including ordering and maintenance of stock levels Utilize Order Entry System (HCS) and Site Automation System (Omnicell) for daily operations Ensure compliance with regulations and facility policies in a behavioral health setting
Qualifications:
Active Michigan Pharmacist license in good standing is required Experience with HCS order entry system preferred Familiarity with Omnicell site automation strongly preferred Previous leadership experience preferred, especially in behavioral health pharmacy Ability to work independently without pharmacy technician support
Additional Details:
Average daily census: 40 patients Dress code: purple scrubs
