Director of Pharmacy | Saint Louis, Missouri Soliant - 3.9 St. Louis, MO Job Details Contract 15 hours ago Qualifications Registered Pharmacist (RPh) Licensed Pharmacist (State-Specific) Doctor of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist Pharmacy operations Business management Full Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy at a new behavioral health facility in St. Louis, MO. This role is critical in overseeing pharmacy operations as the site prepares to open and begin patient care services. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of pharmacy setup, medication procurement, packaging, stocking the Pyxis automated dispensing system, and order verification once the facility goes live. You will also serve as a key communicator with the C-suite and the Area Director of Pharmacy, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations and compliance. There is no sterile compounding involved in this role. Remote training will be provided with the Area Director of Pharmacy. This position requires coverage starting July 6th, continuing until a permanent candidate is hired (approximately 8+ weeks). The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with on-call duties including weekends. Additional support may be needed during the startup phase. The facility currently has no other pharmacy staff or technician support, so the role demands autonomous pharmacy management.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist in Missouri with Medication Therapy Services certification Experience in inpatient behavioral health pharmacy practice Proficiency with Pyxis automated dispensing systems Familiarity or willingness to train on HCS order entry system Strong communication skills for interaction with executive leadership and pharmacy stakeholders Local candidates preferred due to coverage needs and training logistics
