Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire This leadership role requires a dedicated pharmacy professional to oversee compliance and operational excellence within a rapidly growing dermatology-focused pharmacy organization. The company's mission centers on simplifying complex patient needs and providing affordable solutions while fostering a positive impact in the workplace through strong core values and cultural alignment.
Location:
Primarily onsite at the Administration office in Franklin, TN Some limited remote work flexibility following onboarding Quarterly travel to pharmacy location in Abilene, TX Preference for local candidates; relocation assistance may be considered
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM No weekends or on-call duties
Key Responsibilities:
Lead compliance readiness for
URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP
795/800, DEA, and state board regulations Develop and implement scalable SOPs, compliance workflows, and documentation processes Conduct mock audits and identify operational gaps and compliance risks Maintain multi-state licensure tracking and operational compliance standards Create and lead training initiatives for pharmacy staff on compliance topics Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to enhance quality assurance and operational accountability Drive consistency and audit readiness across multiple pharmacy locations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Tennessee Pharmacist license (consideration for diverse backgrounds) Leadership experience in pharmacy settings required 5+ years in pharmacy compliance, accreditation, regulatory oversight, or quality assurance strongly preferred Familiarity with
URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP
795/800, DEA, and state board regulations Proven track record of building systems, process improvements, and accountability initiatives Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Proficient with compliance systems, spreadsheets, LMS platforms, and reporting tools Strong alignment with core values and a positive attitude valued over experience alone
