Pharmacy Solutions focuses on improving access, affordability, and outcomes across the pharmacy ecosystem by combining pharmacy benefit management, specialty and home delivery pharmacy services, and advanced clinical and data capabilities. The business partners closely with health plans, employers, providers, and members to optimize medication use, manage drug spend, and support better health outcomes through integrated solutions, clinical programs, and data‑driven insights. This person will be driving complex strategies, have outstanding cross group organizational skills and agility, and effective communication skills (verbal and written). Additionally, the General Manager will have a proven track record of having run a large P&L, operations, product innovation, and revenue & profitability growth. You should also enjoy setting stretch goals and be flexible with the ability to tolerate and manage ambiguity and uncertainty. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide overall business leadership for the Optum Insight Pharmacy Solutions business, including Pharmacy Network, Software, RCM, and Data Solutions Deliver against business results: growth, revenue, and IOI targets Lead a growth and account management team of over 20+ client facing team members Formulate business strategy, financial plans and execution plans for the business and be responsible for the business P&L, generating YoY double digit growth, both organic and inorganic. Build business cases for new segments and product strategies Expand product offerings, generate additional revenue opportunities, improve the customer experience, and enhance the infrastructure by leveraging existing and modern technologies with an AI-first mindset Shape product strategy; ensure alignment with roadmap and capital allocation Lead domain business reviews (forecasts, objectives, status updates) Engage with customers, both commercial (i.e. retail pharmacies, pharma manufacturers, channel partners) and intersegment (i.e. OptumRx), on high-impact opportunities Provide end-to-end thought leadership, insight, and influence around Optum Insight's enterprise-wide strategy. Help identify and exploit synergies and market opportunities for Optum Insight Collaborate across OI to drive organizational efficiencies and alignment and to develop the infrastructure for future growth. Effectively work across the matrix to shepherd the mindset and cultural shift needed to create a more streamlined process while the organization transforms to a more cloud-first, AI-first, SaaS based business Develop an end-to-end process for development, implementation, use, reporting and feedback on solution offerings- collaborating with other product groups, distribution channels, and specialist areas, as necessary Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies to achieve and surpass sales and profitability goals for the Pharmacy Solutions business.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of combined experience and a proven record of driving major transformational change and delivering measurable results, and developing and leading growth programs or initiatives 10+ years of experience of progressive general management with P&L responsibility in growth oriented, client-focused organization 7+ years of experience and established relationships within the Pharmacy industry, including both retail pharmacies and pharmaceutical manufacturers 5+ years of people management experience including organizational development, budget and resource development, and strategic planning Experience working with product development, launching new products, and thinking innovatively Experience in managing multi-million-dollar budgets that include sales/bookings targets, revenue targets, client satisfaction targets, and expense targets Proven experience influencing outcomes without direct authority in a highly matrixed organization, partnering across Product, Growth, Technology, Operations, and Customer Experience teams Proven ability to navigate and work across multiple constituents to develop, communicate, and support a company's short-term and long-term business objectives Must be able to travel up to 25% in support of conference/client meetingsPreferred Qualifications:
