Pharmacy Tech- Retail
JOB SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY
Wage:
$17.25-$26.81
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm This full-time(1.0 status or 40hrs per week) position performs activities involved in the procurement, charging, storage, preparation, and dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares new and refill prescriptions. Prepares prescriptions for hospice patients. Orders, processes, and restocks medications, including Rx, Over the Counter (OTC), and supplies. Assists in the maintenance of appropriate records for wholesaler and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). Assists customers in identifying appropriate items and processing charges. Prepares private pay, daily, and monthly invoices. Runs end-of-day reports and takes care of cash register. Maintains computer records. Assists in processing and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Assists in maintaining proper inventory. Other duties may be assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required. Prefer retail pharmacy experience or one-year customer service experience in a healthcare organization. Knowledge of medical terminology. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Technician License. Pharmacy Technician Certification required with one year
