Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing the operations, medication preparation, dispensing, and personnel of the pharmacy to ensure consumer and staff safety. Perform and oversee the dispensing process and associated record keeping activities. Ensure the highest quality and accuracy in delivering patient prescriptions is maintained throughout the customer experience and interaction with the pharmacy.   • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy
  • 2+ years customer service delivery experience or equivalent
  • Any leadership experience
  • 2+ years retail/customer service experience
  • 1 year post-grad patient care experience
  • Current clinical license for all states within the geographical sector
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Current unrestricted clinical license
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes Desired
  • Any specialty pharmacy experience
  • Any mail order or central fill pharmacy experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer/store complaints, including appropriate documentation
  • Oversee overall accountability for security of pharmacy inventory and management of controlled substances and drug file maintenance
  • Consult periodically with practitioners in the field
  • Participate in periodic review of policies and procedures and update as needed
  • Communicate with the Central Fill general manager and system administrator regarding any operational issues, suggestions and/or repairs
  • Maintain facility licensing and ensure compliance with the state board of pharmacy
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new pharmacists and associates
  • Oversee the staff pharmacist(s) providing leadership and direction to the supervisors, leads, customer service representatives, and technicians in the dispensing process
  • Ensure patient information is handled in a HIPAA compliant manner
  • Serve as chairperson for the Quality Management Committee and Accuracy Committee; conduct quarterly accuracy meetings
  • Spend up to 10 % of time actively participating in the Quality Management Committee team functions
  • Oversee the overall pharmacy compliance and credentialing requirements; comply with FDA mandates and self-imposed manufacturer restrictions on specific medications
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
  • Provide oversight for clinical operations and decision making for the program
  • Participate in interview process when hiring new clinical staff; contribute to performance evaluation of clinical staff
  • May be required to obtain pharmacist licensure in additional states based on business need and regulatory requirements
