Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Contract A retail pharmacy opportunity is available within a grocery store setting in Alamogordo, New Mexico, as part of a respected health system. This travel contract assignment offers flexibility with a duration of 13 weeks or longer, with shorter contracts considered. The pharmacy operates primarily inside a supermarket with an additional retail location nearby, requiring occasional shift coverage, including weekends.

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Closed weekends and six major holidays at primary site Occasional weekend shifts at secondary locationQualifications and Experience:
Active New Mexico Pharmacist License in good standing, or willingness to obtain prior to start Disclosure and verification of all active/inactive licenses required Minimum one year of registered pharmacist experience preferred Certification or willingness to obtain: APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery within 30 days Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days Availability to occasionally cover shifts at secondary retail location, including weekends Strong skills in patient counseling, medication dispensing, and supervision of pharmacy technicians Flexibility to work across two retail locations as neededKey Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medications in compliance with protocols Maintain precise patient medication profiles Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify daily work activities Participate in medical emergency responses as part of the pharmacy team Conduct medication storage inspections and identify expired products Train and orient new team members Ensure adherence to infection control standards in all pharmacy operations This assignment includes travel stipends covering housing, meals, and travel expenses.
