Pharmacy Operations Manager - Lead Hospital Pharmacy Excellence in Salt Lake City

Within a busy inpatient hospital pharmacy supporting an acute care Level II trauma center, the Pharmacy Operations Manager will guide 24/7 operations that serve the Emergency Department, ICU, perioperative services, cardiology, oncology, and medical-surgical units. The Pharmacy Operations Manager will champion sterile compounding excellence under USP 797/800, medication safety initiatives, antimicrobial stewardship collaboration, formulary optimization, and survey readiness, ensuring reliable, timely, and patient-centered medication management across the continuum of care.

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Operations Manager partners closely with clinical leadership and leads a talented team of pharmacists, coordinators, and pharmacy technicians. The Pharmacy Operations Manager will shape staffing models, optimize scheduling, streamline inventory and procurement, strengthen diversion prevention, enhance automation and distribution workflows, and support EHR optimization—while collaborating daily with friendly nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, and a diverse, interprofessional care team dedicated to exceptional outcomes and a supportive workplace culture.
