Director of Pharmacy

This position oversees the delivery of pharmaceutical and clinical pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while promoting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily pharmacy operations through supervision of department supervisors and staff, driving continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure comprehensive training, performance feedback, and ongoing development for all direct reports to achieve departmental objectives. Develop and implement departmental goals aligned with standards including Joint Commission, DOH, and Board of Pharmacy requirements. Manage budget recommendations for capital equipment and operational expenses while projecting departmental revenues. Serve on hospital committees and communicate pharmacy policies effectively across hospital staff. Maintain systems for authorized prescriber signatures and proper requisitioning and dispensing of pharmaceutical supplies. Perform all duties of a Staff Pharmacist, supporting clinical and operational pharmacy activities.

Qualifications:

Current state pharmacist licensure required. Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the past five years. Demonstrated ability to efficiently operate a pharmacy within a healthcare setting.

Preferred:
