The Director of Pharmacy plays a key role in shaping pharmacy operations, guiding staff development, and enhancing patient care through efficient medication management.

Full Time Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Pharmacy Department, supervising supervisors and staff to ensure optimal daily operations. Develop, implement, and communicate departmental objectives consistent with regulatory and organizational standards (Joint Commission, DOH, Board of Pharmacy). Provide ongoing training, feedback, and support to direct reports to promote skill development, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. Review and improve pharmacy policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance service quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Perform duties consistent with a Staff Pharmacist, ensuring hands-on involvement in pharmaceutical services. Oversee budget planning, including capital equipment and operating expenses, while projecting departmental revenue. Serve on hospital committees, contributing to policy development and interdisciplinary collaboration. Maintain robust systems for authorized prescriber identification and pharmaceutical supply management.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current state licensure as a pharmacist is mandatory. At least three years of hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years. Proven ability to effectively manage pharmacy operations within a healthcare organization. Managerial experience of one year or more preferred.
