This temporary contract role offers an opportunity for fast placement and to contribute valuable skills in a dynamic work environment.

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00

PM Key Responsibilities:

Accurately process prescriptions and handle insurance adjudications, resolving any rejections promptly Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification Perform data entry tasks and manage prescription documentation with attention to detail Communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and team members via phone and other channels Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes Cross-train across various pharmacy functions to support overall department needs Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

High School diploma or GED required PTCB certification and active VA pharmacy technician license in good standing Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with retail experience strongly preferred Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and confident in making phone calls Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and internal teams This role is ideal for a pharmacy technician who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is ready to hit the ground running with minimal interview requirements.
